Join Bernie, CPC Chairs, MoveOn: Demand End to Shooting of Unarmed Palestinian Protesters
On May 14, Israeli troops killed 60 Palestinians and wounded over 2,700 at a mass protest at the Gaza border.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, the most popular politician in the United States, said: “Over 50 killed in Gaza today and 2,000 wounded, on top of the 41 killed and more than 9,000 wounded over the past weeks. This is a staggering toll. Hamas violence does not justify Israel firing on unarmed protesters.”
Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairs Mark Pocan and Raúl Grijalva, together with Caucus members Pramila Jayapal, Keith Ellison, and Hank Johnson, issued a statementdenouncing “the lethal force used by Israeli troops against mostly unarmed protesters demonstrating at Gaza’s border.”
MoveOn said: “We call on every single Democratic elected official to use their platform and power to demand an immediate end to Israel’s attacks on peaceful protesters in Gaza.”
Rep. John Yarmuth denounced the "horrific slaughter" of Palestinian protesters by Israeli forces.
Senator Dianne Feinstein and Reps. Ro Khanna, Betty McCollum, Jim McGovern, Barbara Lee, Katherine Clark, and Danny Davis also denounced the Israeli army violence against Palestinians protesters.
Urge your Senators and Representative to join these Members of Congress and MoveOn in speaking up for the right of unarmed Palestinians to protest without being shot with live ammunition by signing our petition.
